The Research Scholarship Program is designed to encourage international researchers and academicians to carry out collaborative academic research in their own fields with Turkish academicians in the most prestigious Turkish universities.

Eligibility

  • being under the age of 50
  • being a PhD holder or PhD candidate at dissertation stage

Scholarship
The Research Scholarship Program only covers a monthly stipend of 12.000 TL per month. It does not cover transportation, accommodation, and health insurance costs.

Application deadlineApplications for the Research Scholarship Program are open throughout the year. Assessment and admissions are made in four different periods.

RemarksAccording to the Türkiye Scholarship regulations, it is possible to extend the scholarship period by 1 or 2 months in case the Research Committee approves the need for the extension. For those whose scholarship period is up to 6 months, the extension could be a maximum of 1 month, for those whose scholarship period is up to 12 months, the extension could be a maximum of 2 months.
