Here is the latest issue of our newsletter, which informs you monthly about our program and its scope.


FROM THE PROGRAMME

 

Conference  "P-5 Outcomes: Scientific Information Services for All"

The conference took place on 30.11.2021 with the support of the University of Fribourg.

This conference marks the end of the P-5 Scientific Information program, which ran from 2013-2021. It funded 43 projects, 30 of which resulting in services that benefit all members of the scientific community. 

This program has evolved into the current Open Science Program 2021-2024, which focuses on Open Access and will soon integrate a new part focusing on Open Research Data.

swissuniversities would like to thank all participants, funded projects and keynote speakers for their preciuos contribution and for making this day interesting and insightful. A special thanks is expressed to the University of Fribourg for providing the IT infrastructure.

Presentation of the most successful projects from the P-5 Scientific Information program

The P-5 Scientific Information program (2013-2021) is now completed. It funded 43 projects, 30 of which resulted in services that benefit all members of the scientific community.

We are pleased to present the most successful projects and their services at this link.

 

Program Open Science: new program coordination as of January 1, 2022

As of January 1, 2022, Dr. Aude Bax de Keating and Ariane Studer will take over the program coordination of the Open Science I program as co-coordinators.

Dr. Aude Bax de Keating completed her PhD in Humanities in the US and has been working in Open Science in Switzerland since 2014. Aude joined swissuniversities in 2018 as Portfolio Manager in the Scientific Information and Open Science programs. In 2021, Aude focused on the 2 new project calls in the area of Open Access. As of January 1, 2022, Aude will be responsible for the coordination of Phase A Open Access of the Open Science program.

Ariane Studer studied history and constitutional law at the University of Bern and at the Università di Bologna and has worked in various institutions in higher education since 2006. Since 2015, she has been Deputy Head of Higher Education Policy at swissuniversities and responsible for strategic dossiers. From 2021, she has accompanied the development of the Open Research Data Strategy and Action Plan. Ariane will be responsible for the coordination of Phase B Open Research Data of the Open Science program as of January 1, 2022.

Dr. Aude Bax de Keating and Ariane Studer succeed Patrick Furrer, who will lead the Open Science program until the end of 2021. At this point, swissuniversities would like to thank him for his great commitment to the program and wish him all the best for the future.
