About the project

"SELVEDAS" has emerged from a collaboration between the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) and the Swiss National Supercomputing Centre (CSCS). "SELVEDAS" demonstrates the feasibility and benefits of on-demand high-performance computing and data services - in near real-time - in a cloud infrastructure. The joint project is a model for further scalable data infrastructures and solutions under "Alps", the new software-defined supercomputer infrastructure being developed at CSCS.
