The network supports the equality of individuals with disabilities in higher education. It focuses on barrier-free studying and contributes to increasing awareness of the topic within these institutions and to expanding and anchoring the corresponding know-how. It performs in particular the following tasks:

• Networking of the persons/offices responsible for the topic “higher education and disability” within higher education institutions
• Informing higher education institutions about legal requirements and their implementation
• Collecting and disseminating best practices within higher education institutions and pooling existing initiatives among higher education institutions
• Developing products for higher education institutions to aid their progress in the field of accessibility

The network manages an online platform that informs students and staff about the topic of higher education and disability and identifies contact points.

Each higher education institution is invited to participate in the network.
