On 22 January 2025, swissuniversities hosts an event in Bern at the Kornhausforum dedicated to our Programme Open Science. We will take stock, highlight the successes and challenges of Open Science in Switzerland and provide an outlook.
The event is open to all those who have participated in and/or contributed to the Programme Open Science, as well as anyone interested in learning more about the projects and activities in the area of Open Access and Open Research Data.

9:30 - Welcome by Jean-Marc Piveteau, Rektor Zürcher Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften (ZHAW)
- Looking back on the Programme Open Science I: tacking stock of what has been achieved and what can be built on, as well as the challenges remaining
- Outlook on the Programme Open Science II: presentation of open calls, possibility for exchange and networking
12:30 - Lunch
13:30 - The open science landscape in Switzerland
- Keynote and panel discussion with Christian Schwarzenegger, Prorektor Professuren & wissenschaftliche Information, Universität Zürich and further guests
- Bidding farewell to Jean-Marc Piveteau as president of the Delegation Open Science
16:00 - Apéro
